Heathrow terminal 5

Terminal 5 is used exclusively by British Airways and the Spanish airline Iberia.

Terminal transfers

Hotel Hoppa Bus: Heathrow has 15 international hotels around its border, most of which are served by the Hotel Hoppa Bus. (The bus does not serve Terminal 4.) It operates every 15 minutes between 5.30AM–9PM, and then every 30 minutes until 11.30PM. Telephone 0208 400 6659 for more details.

How to get there

Heathrow Express: The Heathrow Express is a high-speed train that takes you into Paddington station. The train operates every 15 minutes between 5.10 AM–11.30 PM, and the journey lasts around 15-20 mins. Telephone 0845 600 1515 or visit heathrowexpress.com.

Heathrow Connect: Heathrow Connect runs between Heathrow and central London, stopping at several places on route. The service operates every 30 mins between 5.30 AM–midnight (6.15 AM–midnight on Sundays), and the journey lasts around 25 minutes. Telephone 0845 678 6975, or visit heathrowconnect.com for details.

London Underground: Heathrow is served by the Piccadilly Line, and the journey into London takes about an hour. Trains depart every five to ten minutes between 5 AM–11.45 PM, or 5.50 AM–10.50 PM on Sundays. Telephone 0207 222 1234, or visit tube.tfl.gov.uk.

National Express: National Express runs a service from Victoria coach station. The service operates every 30–60 minutes fifty times a day, and the journey can last anything between 45 minutes to an hour. The first bus from Heathrow Central station is at 5.35 AM, and the first one in the opposite direction is at 7.15 AM. The last one out of Heathrow is at 9.45 PM, and the last one from Victoria is at 11.30 PM. Telephone 0870 580 8080, or visit nationalexpress.com for details.

A2 Airbus: The Airbus runs every 30 minutes to Victoria and King’s Cross St Pancras, making various stops along the way. The journey takes around 1 to 2 hours, depending where you get off.

Taxi-cab: A black taxi to central London takes 30-60 minutes and will cost anything between £45–£85.

Car: If you’re planning on driving to Heathrow down the M4 then you should get off at junction 4 for Terminals 2&3, and junction 3 for Terminal 4.
