I land at LHR T5 at 1930 (hopefully) on 23 Apr. Do the tubes run all through the night on this line? I need to be at King's Cross by 2100? All advice gratefully received.

The easiest way to do it is to go direct to kings cross on the piccadilly line, but that takes one hour.
the 7:42 will get you there at 8:40 the 7:53 will get you there at 8:51 the 8:02 will get you there at 9:00
i don't fancy your chances of catching any of those though... not if the plane doesn't land until 7:30. by the time you have got your bags and gone through security it will likely be too late.
there is something called a heathrow express which is quicker, but it only goes to paddington. then you will have to get the hammersmith line or circle line to kings cross the 7:57 will get you there approx 8:41 the 8:12 will get you there approx 8:55
if it was me, i would probably just get a taxi, to be safe. that will take around 45-60 minutes and cost about 50 to 85 quid

Thanks admin. I'm on a budget so tube is really the only option. As a lone female traveller - is this line fairly safe and drunken idiot-free? I can catch the 2130 train if necessary!

You're not allowed to drink on the tube anymore, and it's a bit too early for the people coming out of the pub, so it should be drunk free.
But whether it's idiot free... that is a different story. London is full of idiots!
