The absence of lifts and escalators on Finchley Road underground station is an absolute disgrace. The station, together with Stanmore etc., was built several decades ago. Old people and the Disabled have to find alternatives. Another line was built at Stanmore recently for no apparent reason. Weekend closures for repair has been going on and on without any visible improvements. The Jubilee line track is possibly the worst of all. It would help if the responsible engineers learnt their trade on the continent. The lines there are rock free and silent. All staff on the London Underground should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

I left a book on a bench by the northbound Met line . The book was called a death in the family by Karl Ove Knausgaard. Thank you. Thomas King
