I am a retired lady traveling with a well behaved but shy 1year old medium size cockerpoo leaving Ayr at 13.25 to Cosham arriving at 21.59. I will need to use the underground from Euston to Waterloo. I have two concerns can anybody help. where I can take the dog for a wee and how to make the journey with dog the easier

there's a big area outside Euston station with a bit of grass and trees, but of course you'll have to have a plastic bag handy to clear up any mess it makes because you can get fined for that these days.
you are allowed to take dogs on the underground but the rules say you definitely have carry it on the escalators. and you will definitely have to go down one escalator at euston (plus a flight of stairs, but he can walk down that). so that might be a problem if you have some luggage, but there's no way around it unfortunately.
At Waterloo you'll have the same again: an escalator and a flight of stairs
