Vladimir Jurowski will be conducting violinist Julia Fischer and the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a selection of classical works by Knussen, Britten and Tchaikovsky at the Royal Festival Hall.

Performers:

Russian conductor Vladimir Jurowski has held many prestigious roles, including spots with the Russian National Orchestra, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, and the Glyndebourne Festival Opera. The last few years have seen him work closely with the London Philharmonic.

Julia FischerJulia Fischer is a German violinist and pianist and has worked with many of the world’s greatest conductors and orchestras. She is currently artist-in-residence with the Wiener Symphoniker.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra was founded by Sir Thomas Beecham, and has been based at London’s Royal Festival Hall ever since its opening in 1951. It is also the resident symphony orchestra of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
