David Hill will be kicking off the Christmas season with an afternoon of festive music performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra, Bach Choir, and soprano Mary Bevan.

Expect plenty of classical pieces by the likes of Bach, Darke and Schubert, plenty of seasonal songs as well, and even some sing-a-long carols for the whole audience.

Performers:

The Philharmonia Orchestra is based at the Royal Festival Hall. Widely regarded as one of the world’s great orchestras, they have an extraordinary recorded legacy.

First established in 1875, the Bach Choir has long been regarded as one of the world’s leading choruses. The choir’s musical director is currently David Hill, who occupies a spot once held by the great English composer Vaughan Williams.
