Trevor Nunn will be directing one of the world's best loved musicals at the Playhouse Theatre: Fiddler On The Roof.

Set in Revolutionary Russia, it tells the joyous but sometimes heart-breaking story of the Jewish milkman Tevye, who's working hard to provide a life for his wife and five daughters. But when someone brings him news that a wealthy butcher wants to marry his eldest child he isn't happy -- she wants to marry her childhood friend instead.\

Eventually their marriage goes ahead, but it's not long before the Russians start wreaking havoc in their Jewish community.

The score includes classic tracks like Sunrise Sunset, If I Were A Rich Man and Matchmaker Matchmaker.

Financial Times★★★★ – "A resounding success. This one is pretty perfect" The Guardian★★★★★ – "This Fiddler raises the roof. A note-perfect production"
