How about watching a big blockbuster movie under the stars? The Luna Cinema will be putting up an outdoor screen in Victoria Embankment Gardens for four nights this year -- that's the little park that's sandwiched between Victoria Embankment and the Strand. Hopefully it won't rain (don't worry, it never rains in London).

Tonight's film is the feel-good movie Forrest Gump (15, 139 mins) where Tom Hanks unwittingly influences Elvis' love of rock 'n' roll and exposes the Watergate scandal.

Note: You need to bring your own blanket to sit on. You can also pre-order one when booking your tickets, or buy one on the night. Premium tickets already come with a decent seat and a complimentary drink at the bar. Bear in mind that screenings will still go ahead in bad weather -- so be prepared for a bit of cold.

I was going to take some photos but I'd need a blow torch to clear it, so I've decided to mope around Victoria Embankment Gardens for a bit. I love this little park. It might even be my favourite park in London. I don't know why, because it's nothing special -- it's just a nice little place to walk through instead of pinballing past… continued”
