Director: Roy Alexander Weise; Written by: Athol Fugard; Cast: (the cast may change on different dates) Lucian Msamati, Lucian Msamati

Sam and Willie are practising their dance steps in the St George's Park Tea Room where they work, getting ready for the finals of the ballroom dancing championship.

Hally arrives from school to hide out in the tea room and watch them dance. They've been friends to Hally his whole life but this is 1950's South Africa, at the height of Apartheid... and he's Master Harold, and they are the boys.

Athol Fugard's semi-autobiographical masterwork explores the nature of friendship, and the ways that people are capable of hurting even those they love.
