The BBC's adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Man Booker Prize-winning novel Wolf Hall will be performed live at the Purcell Room.

The story follows the machinations of Thomas Cromwell and the downfall of Cardinal Wolsey and Thomas More in the reign of Henry VIII.

The book was famously turned into a successful six-part drama on TV and its soundtrack reached No.1 in the classical charts. At this concert, the Locrian Ensemble will be performing music from Debbie Wiseman's score whilst Anton Lesser reads out extracts from the text, along with some pieces from its sequel Bring Up the Bodies.
