Raymond Briggs' much-loved children's book The Snowman has become as much a part of Christmas TV as carol singing and figgy pudding. And here's an even better way for your kids to see it -- on a big screen with live musical accompaniment by the Mozart Symphony Orchestra.
It tells the story of a young boy and his snowman, who magically comes to life on Christmas Eve and carries him off on a night-time adventure. They fly through the sky together and meet dancing penguins, Jack Frost and even Father Christmas himself.
After that will come a performance of Peter And The Wolf -- Prokofiev's much-loved introduction to the instruments of the orchestra, told through the story of the brave boy Peter and his quest to capture a wolf. It's a great way to introduce your kids to orchestral music.
The Mozart Symphony Orchestra was founded by the English conductor Philip Mackenzie and is lead by Mark Messenger, the Head of Strings at the Royal College of Music in London.
