Sir Ian McKellan will be celebrating his 80th birthday with a solo show at the Duke of York's Theatre.

The show will be a mixture of anecdotes and acting, covering some of the most memorable characters from his long and distinguished career. He's promising to do a bit of Gandalf, plenty of Shakespeare... and there might even be an invitation for someone to act with him on stage!
