St. Paul’s Cathedral is #4 in our London Bucket List

There's not a lot to do in London on Christmas Day. All the theatres, galleries and attractions are closed, so how about attending a church service at St. Paul's Cathedral instead? It will be a special experience even if you're not religious.

There are four different services to choose from:

8 AM to 8.30 AM -- Holy Communion
8.45 AM to 9.15 AM -- Morning Prayer
11 AM to 12.30 PM -- Eucharist with Christmas carols sung by the Cathedral Choir. This is the principal celebration on Christmas morning
3.15 PM to 4.15 PM -- Festal Evensong. A traditional service with Christmas carols sung by the Cathedral Choir

Note: Tickets are not required for any of these services, but you should be aware that space in the Cathedral is limited and you should try and arrive early to be sure of a place.

P.S. There's another mass at Westminster Abbey, but if want something just an extra little bit special then why not try the Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve?

As you walk up Ludgate Hill you'll expect to see the grand facade block off the top like a great barn door, but with the way the street curves over the brow all you get is three-quarters of the front. It's the worst piece of street planni… continued”
