This year's Christmas panto at the New Wimbledon Theatre will be Aladdin.

Ever since my mum and dad took me to Aladdin when I was a little kid I have been obsessed with genies (seriously). And whenever I see a lamp I rub it. When I see a jug, I rub it. When I see a mug, I rub it. When I see a bottle, I rub it. But nothing ever comes out of it -- not once! No cloud of dust or purple smoke or a big genie offering me three wishes -- nothing!

Hopefully Paul Merton will have better luck than me because he's heading up the cast as Widow Twankey, alongside comedy magician Pete Firman who will help Aladdin overcome the evil Abanazar (boo!).

Expect all the usual laugh-out-loud comedy, sparkly costumes and plenty of things to boo and hiss.
