Watching a West End show is #15 in our London Bucket List

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that anyone in possession of wit and good taste must be in want of great entertainment."

So said Jane Austen, and so it has come to pass... Austentatious is the social event of the season, taking London's West End by storm.

Dressed in full Regency costume with live musical accompaniment, some of the country's finest comics will conjure up a 'lost' Jane Austen novel based on nothing more than a title suggested by the audience. The play is entirely improvised from start to finish, so no two shows are ever the same. You can expect a witty heroine, a dashing gent (or two) and a probably preposterous plot. Swooning is guaranteed.

It doesn't matter a jot whether you're familiar with any of Austen's works, as it promises to be a hilarious show for everybody.

Previous 'lost' masterpieces have included The Sixth Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Shark and Double 0 Darcy.

The Times★★★★★ – "Ridiculously silly... wickedly funny" The Guardian★★★★ – "A joy to behold.. The laughs seldom stop"
