The Animals and Children Took to the Streets is like a graphic novel burst into life — a theatrical journey of startling originality, synchronising storytelling with film animation and live music.

The story is set in the Bayou, a part of the city that's both feared and loathed in equal measure, and the Bayou Mansions are a sprawling tenement block full of curtain-twitchers and peeping-toms.

When Agnes Eaves and her daughter arrive late one night, does it signal hope in this hopeless place, or has the real horror only just begun?
