Measure for Measure is Shakespeare's dark comedy about whorehouses, nunneries, betrothals and beheadings -- welcome to Vienna!

The Duke of Vienna grows disgusted by his city's immorality and withdraws from public life, leaving his hardline, puritanical deputy Angelo in charge. Angelo resurrects some ancient laws to stamp out all the immoral behaviour, but when he condemns a man to death his sister... a nun... pleads for clemency and leaves Angelo guilty of the very crime that the law condemns.
