The London Palladium will be putting on a production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King And I -- one of the greatest musicals from the golden age of theatre.

Set in 1860s Bangkok, The King And I tells the story of the relationship that grows between the King of Siam (Ken Watanabe) and a British schoolteacher, Anna (Kelli O'Hara), whom the king has brought to Siam to teach his many wives and children.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's score is one of the best, with treasured songs including Whistle a Happy Tune, Getting to Know You and Shall We Dance.

The Times★★★★★ – "Five stars for a sumptuous King and I. Book now. It's a hit" Daily Mail★★★★ – "We left the London Palladium on a bright cloud of music - joyous!" The Telegraph★★★★ – "Looks and sounds ravishing. Complete rapture" Evening Standard★★★★ – "Ken Watanabe has Thunderous charisma"
