It's a beautiful afternoon in Kabul and everybody is enjoying a kite flying tournament. But then a terrible incident takes place and two childhood friends are torn apart and Afghanistan plunges into of war.

The Kite Runner tells the powerful and haunting story of a friendship that spans different cultures and different continents, and allows one man to confront his past and find redemption.
