Film4 will be showing an open-air movie on their 'Summer Screen' at Somerset House. It will be situated in the courtyard (where the jumping fountains are).
Tonight's double-bill begins with Steven Spielberg's big fish chiller Jaws (18, 124 mins). Without giving the entire plot away the story can be summed up like this: people on a boat, people on a beach, shark comes along... you can guess the rest. Will Roy Scheider be able to save the day as Chief Brody? Or will Jaws make mincemeat of him? All we know is this: they're gonna need a bigger boat! ...and some more coffins!
The second movie is Deliverance (18, 109 mins) starring Burt Reynolds, some canoes, a couple of duelling banjos, and one of the worst holidays ever.
Note: There will be no fixed seating in the courtyard, so bring your own rugs, blankets and cushions. Chairs, inflatables and portable furniture are not allowed. The screenings will go ahead come rain or shine -- so be prepared for drizzle! Food and drink will be available to buy onsite.
