Photographer Tom Hunter has been exploring some of the housing in East London - everything from demolished tower blocks to the first municipal housing estate - trying to capture intimate portraits of the resident's domestic lives, hoping they will show traces of the people who lived there in the past.

Homes reveal much about the people who inhabit them, and the fabric of the buildings can document the changes of occupancy, taste and the passage of time.

Searching For Ghosts will give you a glimpse into the lives of several generations of east Londoners.
