Craig’ London blog> Craig’s Leighton House Museum review  I’ve written a review and posted some photos on my blog

At Home in Antiquity is an exhibition of work by Lawrence Alma-Tadema, who's chief fascination was the depiction of domestic life in antiquity.

His work was so successful that he managed to fix many of his romanticised images in the popular imagination of what life in the ancient past 'looked like' – they were even used on the stage and in film, and many of his scenes remain with us today.

The exhibition includes over 130 images. Alongside many important works by Tadema himself, are some by his wife Laura and daughter Anna.
