Conductor Andrew Nethsingha will be leading the London Philharmonic Choir and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, in a performance of Beethoven'sSymphony No.9, which ends with its climactic Ode to Joy.
They will also be performing his famous Emperor Concerto (Piano Concerto No.5).
The London Philharmonic is one of the leading independent choirs in the country, working closely with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. With 200+ members ranging from bass, tenor, alto and soprano, the choir has a wide repertoire of choral styles.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) was founded by Thomas Beecham in 1946. Subsequent principal conductors have included the great André Previn and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
