Jurassic Park

Forget the stuffy cinemas in Leicester Square, with big queues and crushed-up popcorn on the floor... how about enjoying watching a great movie on an outdoor screen instead? Luna Cinema have decided to show a few movies in Battersea Park this year.

Tonight's movie will be Steven Spielberg's dinosaur movie Jurassic Park (PG, 124 mins). Just in case you're the only person on planet earth who hasn't seen the movie yet (or maybe you're under 25, in which case you're too young -- jeez, that makes me feel old!), it tells the story of a theme park that has discovered a way to bring dinosaurs back from the dead. Needless to say, things don't go according to plan, and it's not long before people start getting their heads bitten off. But don't worry... because that's where Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum come in (and Laura Dern, too... but all she does is scream a lot).

Note: There is limited seating capacity so advanced booking is recommended. You need to bring your own blanket to sit on (or you can order one when booking the tickets). Premium tickets come with a complimentary drink at the bar and a decent seating position. Bear in mind that screenings usually go ahead in bad weather -- so be prepared for a bit of drizzle and cold. (This is London, after all, and summer is no guarantee of warm weather!)
