Hamlet

Director: Robert Icke; Written by: William Shakespeare; Cast: (the cast may change on different dates) Andrew Scott, Juliet Stevenson, Jessica Brown Findlay

The Almeida Theatre's sold-out run of Hamlet is transferring to the Harold Pinter Theatre in June.

Shakespeare's greatest play explores the mental struggles that threaten to overcome Hamlet as tries to make sense of his father's death, and his mother's quick marriage to his father's brother.

As the country arms itself for war, the ghost of the old king demands that Hamlet avenge his 'foul and most unnatural murder'.

Hamlet's mind is then set on revenge... threatening both his sanity and the security of the state itself.
