Good for kids? Value for money? Worth a visit?

This 1200sq metre rink has a spectacular backdrop, sitting in the shadow of the skyscrapers at Canada Square.

The rink itself is situated inside Canada Square Park, in the heart of Canary Wharf. It has a roof on top and an interesting little feature that sets it apart from all the other rinks in London — an atmospheric skate path around the side that allows you to leave the main rink and glide past the fir trees and fairy lights that decorate the perimeter.

You'll also find a rinkside bar and viewing terrace (for those of you who'd rather keep your feet firmly on solid ground!).

Talk about this event

Craig’s review – “The best ice rink at Christmas is the one at Somerset House. This is how a winter rink should look, all lit in brilliant blues with a giant Tiffany Christmas tree up the front. It gets dark early in the winter when we put the clocks back so it's pitch black at five-thirty, and people have packed it out already. They are half gliding and half sliding, and they all look… continued”
