Cast -- (the cast may change on different dates) Jonas Kaufmann, Gregory Kunde

Verdi's "Otello" is one of his best-loved operas, combining Shakespeare's tragic plot with a sublime score.

It tells the tale of Otello, whose paranoia makes him think badly of his beloved wife Desdemona... whilst the dastardly Iago schemes in the shadows to increase his suspicions, inventing a story of an affair between Desdemona and Iago's rival, Cassio.

Verdi's score brilliantly heightens the drama throughout, with some beautifully crafted and striking choruses.
