It's been fifty years since the Tate Gallery last showed Giacometti's work in London, and this new exhibition will include some of his familiar bronze sculptures alongside some never-before-seen plasters and drawings.
Even if you've never heard his name before, you will most definitely have seen some of Giacometti's work -- he is famous for those stick-thin elongated figures that are inescapably linked to the post-War climate of existential despair.
