Beautiful tells the story of Carole King, the chart-topping music legend who sold her first hit when she was just seventeen. By the time she was twenty she was writing No.1s for some of the biggest music acts in the world including The Drifters, The Shirelles, The Monkees and Aretha Franklin.

But what drove her to step into the spotlight and find her own voice?

Beautiful follows King's remarkable career from schoolgirl to superstar, documenting her relationship with her husband and song-writing partner Gerry Goffin, and the couple's playful rivalry with fellow songwriters Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
