The plot follows the backstage shenanigans of a theatre company as they stumble their way through rehearsals to a shambolic first night and a final disastrous performance.

to National Gallery J W Turner was a huge admirer of the Italian artist Claude's landscapes. Two of Turner's most famous paintings were even left to the gallery on the proviso that they were hung between two of his pictures. This exhibition will showcase some other closely related works and includes oils, watercolours and sketchbooks.
