Shostakovich’s debut opera — ‘The Nose’

to Royal Opera House The Royal Opera House will be putting on a production of Shostakovich's debut opera, a surrealist satire called 'The Nose'.

We don’t have any more operas, but here are some more events taking place on Tuesday 1 November:

Game Plan — Old board games, re-discovered1 NovemberThe Museum of Childhood’s new exhibition and explore the history of more than 100 board games, both old and new.

The Middle, by Tom Ellis — at the Wallace Collection1 NovemberThe British artist Tom Ellis has been commissioned to create a series of works for the Wallace Collection, called ‘The Middle’.

The Bodyguard — starring Beverley Knight1 NovemberThe Whitney Houston movie “The Bodyguard” has been turned into a West End musical starring Beverley Knight.

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory1 NovemberRoald Dahl’s much-loved children’s classic “Charlie & The Chocolate Factory” has been turned into a West End musical.

The Red Barn — at the National Theatre1 NovemberThe National Theatre will be putting on a production of “The Red Barn”, a psychological thriller by David Hare.

The Libertine — starring Dominic Cooper1 November“The Libertine” tells the story of the notorious Earl of Rochester, who’s life is turned upside down when he meets an actress.

In The Heights — Tony Award-winning musical1 November“In The Heights” is a Tony Award-winning musical built around the infectious Latin rhythms of salsa and merengue.

The Dresser — with Ken Stott, Reece Shearsmith1 NovemberKen Stott and Reece Shearsmith will be starring in Ronald Harwood’s greatest play — ‘The Dresser’.

“Amadeus” — a play about the life of young Mozart1 NovemberThe National Theatre will be putting on a production of “Amadeus”, which tells the story of the young composer Mozart.
