Titian’s “Diana and Callisto”

to National Gallery This special exhibition celebrates the National Gallery's acquisition of Titian's "Diana and Callisto". Its companion painting "Diana and Actaeon" was purchased in 2009, and the pair have now been reunited in Room 1. "Diana and Callisto" shows the moment when Diana banishes Callisto after revealing her pregnancy.

Mondrian || Nicholson: In Parallel

to Courtauld Gallery The Courtauld Gallery is putting on a special exhibition which follows the friendship that developed between Piet Mondrian and Ben Nicholson -- two of the leading forces of abstract art. Using major paintings and reliefs by both artists, its explores the parallel paths that Mondrian and Nicholson charted during the 1930s in their Hampstead studios.

See the London Olympic medals, at the British Museum

to British Museum The British Museum will be hosting a small exhibition showcasing all the medals that can be won at the London Olympics. Also on show will be medals from the 1908 and 1948 London Olympics. The display will tell the complete story of the medals from start to finish, from the mining of the metal to the creation of the designs, to the final casting at the Royal Mint.

David Shrigley: Brain Activity

to Hayward Gallery David Shrigley is best known for his witty and wry observations on everyday life. He uses a deliberately crude graphic style alongside an insightful commentary on the absurdities of human relationships. This exhibition will be his first major show in London.

to Natural History Museum Captain Robert Scott's expedition to Antarctica in 1910-1913 was one of the most famous expedition's of all-time. This extraordinary exhibition commemorates the centenary by collecting together artefacts used by his team, alongside a life-size representation of Scott's base-camp, which still survives in Antarctica.

“Dickens and London” exhibition, at the Museum of London

to Museum of London The Museum of London will be marking the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens' birth by putting on a major new exhibition, taking you on a journey through Victorian London to discover the city that inspired his writings. Paintings, photographs and the original manuscripts of 'Bleak House' and 'David Copperfield' will bring to life the author's world.

The exhibition will consist of 150 works charting Picasso’s rise in Britain, tracing the ways in which his work was exhibited and collected here during his lifetime. It will also examine the artist’s impact on 20th-century modernism.

Lucian Freud’s Portraits22 MarchThis major new exhibition will focus on Lucian Freud’s portraits — a central theme throughout his career. It will be divided into broad themes from particular periods. For example, paintings of Freud’s lovers, close friends and family will be used to demonstrate the psychological drama and intensity of his work.

ABBA’s hit musical — “Mamma Mia!”22 March“Mamma Mia!” tells the tale of mum Donna recalling her wild-child youth on the eve of her daughter’s wedding. But when her daughter starts prodding for the identity of her dad, three men land on the Greek island paradise and rekindle memories that they first shared 20 years ago.

David Hockney: A Bigger Picture22 MarchThis major new exhibition by David Hockney will span fifty years of his career, picking out the pieces which demonstrate Hockney’s fascination with the depiction of landscape. The exhibition will also include some of his iPad drawings, and a series of films which were shot on 18 cameras.

Yayoi Kusama exhibition22 MarchYayoi Kusama is probably best-known for her repeating dot patterns. Since 1977 this intriguing artist has spent much of her life living in a psychiatric institution, and her work has been touched by obsession and a desire to escape from psychological trauma.

Tyne Daly in “Master Class” — about Maria Callas22 March“Master Class” tells the story of iconic opera singer Maria Callas. Tyne Daley (of “Cagney and Lacey” fame) takes the role of the legendary diva, whose turbulent love life and fiery temperament led to much self-sacrifice and heartache.

“The Duchess of Malfi”, at the Old Vic22 MarchThe Old Vic will be putting on a production of John Webster’s Jacobean tragedy “The Duchess of Malfi”, which tells the black and bloody story of the recently widowed Duchess, struggling to retain her dignity in the face of death.

Guided tour of Somerset House22 MarchThis 45-minute tour of Somerset House will take in Tudor intrigues and the “King’s Shilling”, and the extravagant entertainments of the Georgian Enlightenment. As you explore the graceful staircases and atmospheric Deadhouse, you will get to see some scientific curiosities and learn more about British naval power.
