Events in London - Tuesday 3rd December

Last chance to see – Antony Gormley at the Royal Academy of Arts

There aren't many sculptors that the average man on the street has heard of, but thanks to his famous Angel of the North Antony Gormley has become a household name. This exhibition will be his most significant solo show for over a decade. It will include both old works and new, using the light and scale of the RA's architecture to show them off to best effect... more.

Need some inspiration for 3rd December? Robert Louis Stevenson died on this day in 1894, best-known for his novel Treasure Island. Did you know there’s a pirate site in London? Catch a boat to Greenwich and keep an eye out for the Captain Kidd pub on the left. The nearby Execution Dock was where they put the famous pirate to death.
