Events in London - Wednesday 27th November

Final week – Antony Gormley at the Royal Academy of Arts

There aren't many sculptors that the average man on the street has heard of, but thanks to his famous Angel of the North Antony Gormley has become a household name. This exhibition will be his most significant solo show for over a decade. It will include both old works and new, using the light and scale of the RA's architecture to show them off to best effect... more.

Need some inspiration for 27th November? England’s greatest naval hero Horation Nelson joined the navy on this day in 1770, at the tender age of twelve. There are several Nelson-themed places you can visit London: Nelson’s Column, his tomb in St. Paul’s Cathedral, and his old uniform at the National Maritime Museum.
