This November, I am bringing my 10 year old son to London for six days. (Including our day of arrival; we leave early morning on day seven.)
We arrive at 6 AM on Sunday, November 19. We will be staying near Victoria Station. My goal is to drop off our stuff at the hotel and hit the ground running (since we won't be able to get into our room anyways). My son would like to start with one of the sightseeing bus tours. I want to make reservations for a Sunday roast supper around 4:30/5 PM. So that means our Sunday can go from approximately 7 AM-3 PM so we can get back to our hotel and change.
In addition to what is listed (in NO particular order!!) on the itinerary, we couldn't find a listing for The Jewish Museum, but it is a must see for us.
We want to spend about an hour in the art museums; around 2 hours for the science & natural history museums; open to suggestions for time on other museums.
Westminster Abbey we want to go inside (so we can't do it the day we arrive as it's a Sunday). We want to view only the outside of the Benjamin Franklin House, same with Globe Theater. Tower Bridge we don't want to go in and do the full exhibit unless it's really a can't miss. Churchill War Rooms aren't necessary, but would be nice. Same with Banqueting House.
Other things he wants to do include the obligatory afternoon tea and potentially seeing Aladdin (though that's negotiable) one evening.
What I'm trying to figure out is what things are near each other and should be grouped together on one day. My son is ambitious and willing to do a ton of walking (he's managed to keep up enough in both his steps and a good attitude, so I'm not worried about packing it in for him!)
I would really appreciate some help and feedback! Particularly if there's something 'important' we're missing! We do not want to do the Harry Potter Studio Tour, but would consider the walking tour. But I'm not sure we have time!
Thank you for your feedback!
