Need help planning a weekend for my kids!

If anyone can give us some suggestions for what to do on a weekend with our kids we would much appreciate it.
At the moment we are going to see a musical and are either going to see the Lion King or Shrek. But which one? Have you seen them, and can recommend which one is better? :grinning:

"Shrek The Musical" is based on the original Oscar-winning movie from 2001. In a faraway kingdom things get ugly when an ugly ogre turns up to rescue the beautiful princess. Madame Tussauds is boring and is very expensive. I dont think the kids really enjoy it that much anyway. What is interesting about seeing a lot of wax models of people they have never heard of? Okay, so some of them move and dance about and sing, but we are not taking amazing movie effects here... it is just basic robotic movement. not very exciting at all. Take it from someone who has been... save your money

They will be best served going on a jack the ripper walk - you can buy them or i can post my one if you want -
Then its not far to the Tower of London these are both interesting for all ages and are part of their currculum at school.
Shrek and Lion king are good tho
