good if you dont like the really big places like the O2 because its under 10000 people. and the best thing is that the floor is sloped so if you're a midget you can be at the back and still have an okay view and not have to peer over millions of heads.

probably the best venue for concerts after the O2 and Wembley Arena. This is the only other place in London that seems to get the really big names. I've been to see Jimmy Carr last year and i'm going to see Katy Perry with my girlfriend next year. It's a big venue without being too big, and because it;s a bit out of the centre you can go to the pubs around it without having to pay 4 pound for a pint

Old looking yet comfortable theatre. Some staff are a little miserable. Food & Drink expensive as expected. Easy to get to via bus / tube and easy walking using the zebra crossings..
View from all seats are good.
Feels like your close to the stage from pretty much most seats..
I would recomend and go there again..
All in all it was a nice place..
Warning
DO NOT EAT AT THE SPANISH TAPAS BAR NEXT DOOR!

Went to see Mc Fly. Was v excited but they didn't come on for 2 hours and the music was so loud that I had to leave after 2 of their songs. My ears are still ringing- what s the point of making I so unbearable. If it wasn't for that it would av been fabulous.

Recently went to 02 for the first time - dreadful place. A heavy gig, they had sniffer dogs everywhere, offered ear plugs, everything very cold and sterile and distant.

Have been to the Appollo many times over the years and it has always been my favourite place for gigs; a good size, relatively intimate and comfortable and not sterile like the 02 is. If you want food, go into Hammmersmith before or after gig, they have most things from the Gate down.
