What are the best pubs in London – London chat forum

We are planning on doing a pub crawl for a mate's stag do next month so i was wondering if anyone can recommend some decent pubs. Preferably away from all the touristy crap around Leicester Square and Covent Garden becase we've been there a million times before.

Waxy O'Connors is alright down Wardour Street near Piccadilly Circus. It's got a tree inside it. That sounds nuts but i'm not making it up -- it's got a tree inside. it's all done up like its medieval, like somewhere the Stonehenge Druids would go for a night out
