Imran Yusuf delivers his jokes in a lyrical street-slang kind of way, fast and furious and quite unlike any other comedian. In between the satire is some quiet hard-hitting commentary.
He's good quite a good bio too, and seems to have been everywhere. He was born in Kenya and raised in England, with a bit of American schooling chucked in for good measure. He's been to all of the world's most relaxing holiday spots: Israel, Palastine and Lebanon -- and has even suffered a bit of clinical depression (all of the best comedians had that). Happily he seems to have got over that now -- that's what a 'Best Newcomer' award in Edinburgh does for you.
Imran Yusuf’s last stand-up gigs in London were at Comedy Store and Museum of Comedy.
