Director: Barrie Rutter; Written by: William Shakespeare, John Fletcher
The Two Noble Kinsmen promises to delight the ear with melodies as well as words. It will have dances, merry May Day capers, and some of the last words that Shakespeare ever wrote for the stage.
When the imprisoned Palamon and Arcite vow eternal friendship with each other, they didn't really expect that anything would come between them. But then they saw the beautiful Emilia from their cell window... and their priorities take a sudden and violent turn.
The Globes Theatre's season runs from April to October. Craig has been to see a play himself and thoroughly recommends it. It's not like any other theatre that you have been to. It's open-air for a start, and it has a standing area in the middle. The actors actually use this area for some of the scenes, and involve the crowd as if they are part of the cast. Check out Craig's review before you go, so you can get a feeling for what it's like inside.
