Director: Jeremy Herrin; Written by: David Hare; Cast: (the cast may change on different dates) Roger Allam, Nancy Carroll
John Christie was an old Etonian science teacher, who's admiration for Wagner led him to embark on a very ambitious project: the construction of an Opera House.
But he also had another passion: a beautiful young soprano called Audrey Mildmay, with whom he was completely smitten.
When Christie heard a famous violinist talking about a group of German refugees he wondered whether they could help him deliver his vision?... Assuming of course they were willing to cast Audrey in the lead!
Got a question? – Talk about Moderate Soprano
