TV historian and author Dan Cruickshank as he talks about 100 Buildings -- his selection of the most inspirational and characterful creations in world architecture.

The buildings that he has chosen all represent key or pioneering moments in architectural history from the Taj Mahal, Hagia Sophia and Pantheon in Rome, to China's Forbidden City. But there are also plenty of less obvious treasures: buildings like Liverpool's Oriel Chambers and Moscow's Narkomfin Apartment Building.
