Sir Mark Elder will be conducting the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus at Barbican Hall, with pianist Kirill Gerstein.

They will be performing some classical music by Beethoven and Ives.

Sir Mark ElderSir Mark Elder is the Music Director of Manchester’s Hallé Orchestra. He has also worked with the London Philharmonic Choir, English National Opera (ENO), BBC Symphony Orchestra and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Kirill GersteinKirill Gerstein was a recipient of the prestigious Gilmore Artist Award for ‘extraordinary piano artistry’. He is currently a professor of piano at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart.
