Jacqueline Shave will be leading the Britten Sinfonia and Britten Sinfonia Voices in a performance of Handel'sMessiah at Barbican Hall, with soprano Sophie Bevan, counter-tenor Iestyn Davies, tenor Allan Clayton and baritone Roderick Williams.

Performers:

Roderick WilliamsRoderick Williams is best-known as a British baritone who sings everything from baroque to contemporary music. He has also composed some original works and been awarded an OBE for services to music.

Britten SinfoniaThe Britten Sinfonia is one of the country’s finest chamber orchestras. It is based at Cambridge and has regular seasons at the Southbank Centre and Wigmore Hall. The orchestra does not have a Principal Conductor, but chooses instead to work with a selection of guest musicians.

Britten Sinfonia VoicesThe Britten Sinfonia Voices is a vocal ensemble that specialises in new music and choral works from the Baroque-era.
