Sir Simon Rattle will be conducting the London Symphony Orchestra at Barbican Hall, with violinist Janine Jansen.
They will be performing some classical music by Sibelius, Janácek and Szymanowski.

Sir Simon Rattle originally rose to fame with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra before beating Daniel Barenboim to the post of Principal Conductor at the Berlin Philharmonic. He is currently Music Director of the London Symphony Orchestra.
Violinist Janine Jansen has performed with many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Philharmonia, Berlin Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra. She is reknowned for her emotional phrasings and superb technique.
The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is the resident orchestra of the Barbican Centre and is the oldest of London’s symphony orchestras. It was recently rated by Gramophone as one of the top five orchestras in the world.
