Thomas Ades will be conducting the Britten Sinfonia at Barbican Hall, with pianist Nicolas Hodges.

They will be performing some classical music by Beethoven and a UK premiere by Gerald Barry.

Thomas AdesThomas Ades is a conductor and composer of operas and orchestral works. He has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Royal Concertgebouw.

Britten SinfoniaThe Britten Sinfonia is one of the country’s finest chamber orchestras. It is based at Cambridge and has regular seasons at the Southbank Centre and Wigmore Hall. The orchestra does not have a Principal Conductor, but chooses instead to work with a selection of guest musicians.
