Alexander Shelley will be conducting mezzo-soprano Madeleine Shaw and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Cadogan Hall.

They will be performing some classical music by Wagner, Grieg, and Humperdinck.

Alexander ShelleyAlexander Shelley was the youngest-ever Chief Conductor of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra and now holds the post of the Principal Associate Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic, and Music Director of Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra.

Madeleine ShawMadeleine Shaw is a mezzo-soprano who has sung at the Welsh National Opera, Opera North and Covent Garden with Sir Andrew Davis, Sir Mark Elder and Edward Gardner.

Royal Philharmonic OrchestraThe Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) is the resident orchestra at Cadogan Hall and was founded by Thomas Beecham in 1946. Subsequent Principal Conductors have included the great André Previn, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Charles Dutoit.
