Roy Ayers

Roy Ayers -- The Godfather of Neo-Soul -- was around at the birth of acid jazz and jazz funk in the 1960s. The 70s and 80s saw him turn into an R&B band leader, and now DJs and hip-hoppers are busy sampling his music again, giving his career a second wind.

He's best known for his big hits in the 70s including Everybody Loves the Sunshine, Searchin and Freaky Deaky.

Roy Ayers’s previous shows in London were at Jazz Café and The Forum, and the next gig is at Jazz Café.
