The Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon starts and finishes in Hyde Park, and takes in three more London parks along the way: Kensington Gardens, St James's Park and Green Park. The 13.1 mile route also goes through Admiralty Arch and past Trafalgar Square, up and down Whitehall, and then along the Strand as far as Somerset House.
The park sections will take you past famous landmarks like Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace Wellington Arch and the Royal Albert Hall.
Over 16,000 runners are expected to take part this year. The main ballot has now closed, but there are still a couple of ways that you can enter yourself (see here for details, up to the 18th August only)... and you can always come along and cheer on your friends and family as they knacker themselves out trying to raise money for charity.
