Nikolaj Znaider is a Danish-Israeli violinist who plays on a Guarneri del Gesu, previously owned by the great Fritz Kreisler. Since 2010 he has tried his hand at conducting, playing with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra.
The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is the resident orchestra of the Barbican Centre and is the oldest of London’s symphony orchestras. It was recently rated by Gramophone as one of the top five orchestras in the world.
